Are you ready to risk everything on Bitcoin? Tough question, right? But not so tough for this 39-old Dutchman. The father of three is prepared to dare it all on Bitcoin.
Who Is This Guy?
Meet Didi Taihuttu, who is happily married with three daughters.
Remember the saying, “Don’t put everything in one basket”, well Didi practically just did that.
He sold everything the family had – house, car, motorbike, children's toys and other family consumables and used the money to buy Bitcoin. The untimely loss of his 61-year-old father to cancer helped him in making the decision.
This outlandish decision surprised many people. Most people thought they were out of their minds. Didi was well aware of these thoughts.
“People will say, ‘You’re crazy.’ But we are an adventurous family and are going to gamble for a moment to live minimalist lives", he said in an interview.
"If you never take a risk, life is boring”, he added.
Prior to selling everything, he and his wife had just returned from a nine-month global trip through Asia and Australia with their three daughters.
Travel makes you more open to the world
It is proven that if you have a habit of traveling, even once a year – makes you more open to ideas as you meet different cultures all over the world. It is during these travels that Didi met a lot of people and learned a thing or two about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
After finding out about Bitcoin and how it soared in price in 2017, and how much potential it has, he made up his mind to do away with everything and buy Bitcoin. But there’s no financial guru will advise in doing so.
According to JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon, those who buy Bitcoin are stupid. What about those who sell their possessions to buy Bitcoin? They must be out of their minds. Literally.
The opposite of materialistic
After selling off all his assets and most of his possessions, Didi now stays in a campsite in the Netherlands, living the life of a minimalist.
High risk, high return
There’s no denying the fact that the higher the risk of a financial instrument, the higher the potential return might be. But to have the guts to risk it all on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency is indeed something extraordinary.
Ask yourself now, “are you willing to risk everything on Bitcoin?”
It's a deep ponder.
