Worldwide PBBA factory revenues posted year-over-year growth of 29.8%, totaling just under $657.4 million, in the second quarter of 2012 (2Q12), according to the International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Purpose-Built Backup Appliance Tracker. For the quarter, the total PBBA open systems market posted just under $551.1 million in revenues, representing 27.7% growth from the prior year's second quarter. The total worldwide PBBA capacity shipped reach 273,082 terabytes, growing 32.2% year over year.
