New technology makes this service user-friendly and more efficient for travelers and hotel owners.

Crystal Vea and James Brown of Kelowna, B.C., are putting together a new type of online travel agency, is dedicated to providing an easy-to-use platform for booking hotels, motels and inns. “Our mission is to provide hotel guests with the best deals, the easiest online booking experience and the best client care in the industry,” said Vea. “We’re also committed to improving the process for hoteliers and inn owners.”

Vea has extensive experience in the travel and hospitality business, including ownership of a travel agency and hotel management.

“Hoteliers and travelers know first-hand that the process of booking a hotel can be confusing and time-consuming,” she said. “Over the past year, I thought of ways that this experience could be streamlined and improved.

“I developed a business plan, complete with 46 pages of market analysis and financial details. The only thing missing was the right business partner.”

Enter Mr. Brown, a family friend whose background includes more than 15 years of corporate retail experience. Together, they put together a solid plan, and although the project is ready to launch, Vea and Brown are in the process of raising additional funds with a goal of $150,000, for further development, marketing, and general business costs.

To raise this start-up capital, Vea and Brown have launched a crowdfunding campaign through Indiegogo. The crowdfunding page can be viewed at

Donations of any amount are being accepted. Those who contribute $10 will receive a T-shirt. Larger contributions are eligible for discounts on booking accommodations.

In addition to providing travelers and hoteliers with a user-friendly and efficient booking service, will be donating part of its profits to the International Make a Wish Foundation ( The Make a Wish Foundation makes it possible for children with life-threatening medical conditions to fulfill their wishes, enriching their difficult situations with hope, strength and joy.

“We want to give something back to the community,” said Vea. “We’re also striving to make online booking a great experience for the hotel owner and the traveler,” said Vea.
