For the third year running PelicanCorp is crossing the Pacific to join hundreds of participants at the Common Ground Alliance’s 811 Excavation Safety Conference and Expo, being held at Phoenix Convention Center, Arizona from March 11-13.
PelicanCorp’s CEO Duane Rodgers and director Laurie Edwards will join Pelican’s American division, PelicanCorp One Call - formerly known as Asplundh One Call - acquired by PelicanCorp last year. Stephen Rieben, president of PelicanCorp One Call, is looking forward to exhibiting as part of a global company and to introducing PelicanCorp’s technologies to a new market.
PelicanCorp marketing coordinator, Yulia Budyanskaya, said the acquistion of Asplundh One Call meant that PelicanCorp would ramp up its presence at the event. “This is our first big stand, six by three metres, so we will be participating on a bigger scale than we did in the two previous years.”
The CGA is a US based organisation dedicated to preventing damage to underground infrastructure. Its annual conference and expo, now in its ninth year, has become the largest gathering of damage prevention and excavation personnel.
The event is produced with the endorsement, sponsorship and partnership of major organisations in the underground industry and offers many educational, networking and informational opportunities. Also, the CGA holds its annual meeting at a breakfast during the event and it’s open to non-members.
The CGA Conference is a great opportunity to meet with people in the industry to identify and address the key issues, explore the latest damage prevention technology, share ideas with colleagues and expand networks. All attendees gain valuable insights from the experience.
PelicanCorp’s signature sponsorship offering is the chance to enter a draw to win a trip to Australia for two with five nights accommodation, worth a total of $5,000. PelicanCorp also shares in the sponsorship of Wednesday’s “Underground Safety Summit” luncheon program.
PelicanCorp CEO Duane Rodgers is directing an educational session scheduled for Tuesday, March 11th at 4pm. The session is open to all attendees and is entitled “All Around the World with One Call.” With a focus on Singapore, Australia, Great Britain and New Zealand, the discussion will provide insights into one call models employed around the globe.
PelicanCorp One Call president Stephen Rieben will discuss the origins of the US one call industry and how it grew to become what it is today, in his presentation “Damage Prevention – Chaos to Common Ground in 40 years” to be held on Tuesday, March 11th at 2.45pm.
The varied presentations during the CGA Expo provide something of interest for everyone, the networking opportunities are unrivalled and there will also be more than a dozen special events that provide opportunities to learn and network with industry colleagues in casual and fun environments.
