PelicanCorp teams up with Australia’s peak contractor body to help protect vital infrastructure

PelicanCorp has formed a strategic alliance with Australia’s Civil Contractors Federation (CCF) under which they will strive jointly to promote best practice in infrastructure construction through communication and by seeking to influence policy and management practices for civil construction.

The alliance will give both PelicanCorp and CCF the opportunity to communicate with CCF’s members, showcasing industry best practices and work methods designed to prevent damage to essential infrastructure.

PelicanCorp CEO Duane Rodgers said the partnership would leverage the strengths and industry knowledge of both organisations to promote safety on worksites across the country. “PelicanCorp has always been a great supporter of the CCFA and its efforts to be the voice of the civil construction sector,” Rodgers said.

“The partnership will give PelicanCorp a platform from which to increase CCF members’ awareness of the solutions available, and will enable us improve the exchange of information between contractors and asset owners, including utilities and government authorities.”

CCF chief executive officer Chris Melham said the partnership would strengthen the commitment of the CCF’s corporate membership to protecting Australia’s critical infrastructure by increasing awareness and use of PelicanCorp’s suite of software solutions.

The CCF is the peak body representing Australia’s civil construction industry. It has branches in all states and territories and more than 2000 contractor and associate members nationally.

CCF’s contractor members are responsible for the construction and maintenance of Australia’s infrastructure: roads, bridges, pipelines, drainage, ports and utilities and play a vital role in the residential and commercial construction industry by providing earth moving and land development services including the provision of power, water, communications and gas.

Its associate members are key suppliers to the civil construction industry across the full range of goods and services required including construction materials and products, equipment sales and hire, fuels and lubricants, and professional services.
