PelicanCorp will be exhibiting at 811 Excavation Safety Conference & Expo, the Common Ground Alliance (CGA) conference and exhibition in Phoenix Arizona from March 6 to March 8.
As in previous years, PelicanCorp is holding a draw with the prize being a trip for two to Australia, but this year the prize also includes a pass to the inaugural Oceania Damage Prevention Conference, to be held on Australia’s Gold Coast from August 20-23, 2018.
811 Excavation Safety Conference & Expo is organised by the CGA — the association of 1,700 individuals, organisations and sponsors involved in every facet of the underground utility industry in the USA — in conjunction with Arizona 811, the organisation that works with professional excavators and homeowners throughout Arizona to facilitate pre-excavation notification services.
In addition to the exhibition the event will feature the Arizona Damage Prevention Stakeholder Summit, with streams on Electric Safety, Excavator Perspective, Fibre Optic Asset Protection, Underground Safety Summit, Pipeline Safety & Awareness, and Water & Sewer Infrastructure Protection.
Also being held at the event will be the annual CGA meeting. This provides an excellent learning opportunity about the current and future CGA initiatives to ensure public safety, environmental protection and the integrity of all industry services.
Formal remarks will be made by Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) administrator Skip Elliott, CGA President and CEO Sarah K Magruder Lyle, CGA committee leaders and many more. All attendees are welcome: you do not have to be a CGA member to attend.
But 811 Excavation Safety Conference & Expo is not all work and no play. There’s a welcome reception from 4:00pm to6:00pm in the Exhibit Hall on 6 March. It’s the perfect opportunity to network with colleagues and explore solutions and new technologies with vendors who add value to your experience.
Then there is the networking event on Wednesday 7 March from 6:30pm to 10:30pm. It will be held at Culinary Dropout, a trendy industrial-chic venue 10 miles east of the Phoenix Convention Center in Tempe.
Culinary Dropout serves up creative iterations of British gastropub-style eats and a lengthy list of draft beer and craft-cocktail selections. With 1,400 square feet of patio space, backyard-style games including ping-pong, cornhole and shuffleboard are par for the course.
And most important: this is where PelicanCorp will announce the winner of its Australian giveaway. If your name is drawn and you are not there, you’ll miss out.
