4G LTE network in Ghana: Investment in Surfline will contribute to improve internet connectivity in Ghana

Vantage Capital (http://www.vantagecapital.co.za), Africa’s leading mezzanine debt provider, announced that the DEG - Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (“DEG”) and four other European investors are contributing a total of approximately $60m to Vantage’s third fund. DEG’s commitment to Fund III is $20m. In addition the DEG is providing $15m to a co-investment with Vantage in Surfline Communications, the leading 4G LTE network operator in Ghana. Vantage invested $15m in Surfline from its second fund late last year.

DHL and Cisco Internet of Things Trend Report reveals huge potential

ZTE Announces 2015 CES Device Lineup and New Focus on Mobile Internet

End to U.S. oversight a step towards maturity for the Internet

InternetNZ (Internet New Zealand Inc) is pleased by last Friday’s historic announcement that the U.S Government will cede control of domain names and Internet addresses. The United States Commerce Department’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) has said it intends to finish a process it started in the 1990s.
