Transformation and innovation will be driving the agenda at this year’s regional mecca for the Asia Pacific technology, broadcast and digital industry, ConnectTechAsia.
ConnecTechAsia has established itself as the region’s newly minted telecom, media and technology (TMT) knowledge centrepoint of the year and will be held in Singapore from 18 – 20 June 2019. The conference and exhibition incorporate entrenched tech events CommunicAsia, BroadcastAsia and NXTAsia.
The ConnecTechAsia Summit, will pivot around the theme of Shaping Future Societies and galvanise trailblazers from the infocomm, technology, media and enterprise sectors to discuss what is driving digital transformation in the region and how the latest tech trends and innovations are changing the landscapes of cities, economies, business, communication and media.
Driving industry thought leadership and insights into innovation will be executives from Amazon, Axiata, Ericsson, Google, Grab, Huawei, IBM, iflix, Intel, Microsoft, Netflix, NHK, NTT DoCoMo, RedHat, Singtel, Verizon and VMWare.
IBM Asia Pacific CEO and Chairman, Harriet Green, will deliver the keynote covering the shift from digital experimentation to scale the adoption of new technologies. She will look at how this movement will fundamentally alter the value chains of entire industries and change the way we work and live.
Singapore is leading in the transformation of cities via connectivity infrastructure and the development of thriving digital economies with an emphasis on collaboration between technology, media and business.
Australia has traditionally been strongly represented at the event and this year, Global Victoria, on behalf of the Victorian Government, will lead a trade mission to CommunicAsia as part of ConnectTechAsia Singapore followed by a one-day business program to Jakarta, Indonesia.
Last year Global Victoria's ICT team led a 56 strong delegation on a trade mission to ConnecTechAsia to raise Melbourne's national and international profile as Australia's technology hub.
Victorian-based IPTV solutions innovator CombiTel has become an established visitor to the show which has assisted in the company’s successful global expansion.

ConnecTechAsia attracts over 1,800 exhibitors and 200 thought leaders at the Summit, and an estimated 40,000 attendees will be looking to truly transformative technologies and solutions to get an edge up in automating business processes and exploring fresh revenue streams in this digital era.
Conference highlights will include 5G, Artificial Intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, multi and hybrid-clouds, Internet of Things (IoT), smart cities and more, ConnecTechAsia, comprising three pillars catering to each sector of the TMT space, will bring together the diverse yet hyperconnected businesses that will form a big part of tomorrow’s digital life. 2019 will also see the emergence of the new Apex Pavilion, housing leading telecom operators and vendors to present a comprehensive showcase of enterprise solutions vital to the digital transformation of businesses.
