Asus Zenfone 3 Max ZC553KL is set to be released very soon, and with all the above specs – you expect it to be selling like hot cakes.

There’s already a slew of products which carries the name Asus Zenfone 3, Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra, Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe, Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe 5.5 just to name a few.

Everything seems to serve a different segment of the market, with Zenfone 3 Deluxe for the flagship market with its 5.7-inch screen, Zenfone 3 Ultra for those who love large screen with its 6.8-inch monster of a screen and the entry-level Zenfone 3.

We can safely say that Zenfone 3 Max will be positioned in the mid-range market with the below specs:

  • 5.5-inch Full HD IPS capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 1920 pixels or ~401 ppi pixel density
  • Metal body
  • Fingerprint sensor
  • Oleophobic coating
  • Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 chipset, Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 graphics, Adreno 505 chipset and 3GB/4GB RAM
  • 16MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection & laser autofocus and dual-LED (dual tone) flash
  • 8MP secondary camera with f/2.2 aperture
  • 32GB internal storage + microSD expansion slot up to 256GB maximum
  • Non-removable Li-Ion 4100 mAh battery with Fast battery charging
  • Dual-sim and 4G LTE
  • November release date
  • $269 USD price tag

Zenfone 3 Max has the usual size for it to be equipped with a Full HD resolution and IPS technology which enables you to watch movies and browsing the internet with pleasure.

It comes with a metal body that oozes confidence and a fingerprint sensor which is the norm for a mid-range these days. Then there’s the additional oleophobic coating which prevents it from having your fingers being smudged on its surface.

Under the hood of the Zenfone 3 Max is somewhat disappointing for its price range. With the Snapdragon 430 chipset paired with a slow octa-core processor will cause performance to be a little bit slow to your liking.

But it makes up with the 16MP-8MP camera combination which ensures that you will have a good time snapping away.

The next issue that you will have will be on the storage. Thankfully there’s 32GB of internal storage available which can then be further expanded should you require additional space.

Last but not least, Zenfone 3 Max has a rather large 4100 mAh battery which can easily power up the smartphone for at least a day or two in between charging. When the time comes to plug it in, the Fast battery charging feature sure comes in handy.

Conclusion:

Asus Zenfone 3 Max ZC553KL has everything nice going, nice metal body, good screen, great camera and great battery. The only issue is its rather limited performance, which might be a turn-off for some.

Asus Zenfone 3 Max ZC553KL is said to be released by this month and will be available for $17,999 Indian Rupee or ~$USD 269. It will be available in Titanium Gray, Glacier Silver, Rose Pink and Sand Gold.
