Well, well, well. The first smartphone by Essential is already a great one. PH-1 is set to be on top of its league, starting with a great 5.71-inch 2K LTPS IPS screen that will be a real treat to your eye. Not only will it be a visual feast, but it is also set to be a great-looking smartphone with its amazing edgeless screen coupled with a titanium and ceramic body. Then there’s also Gorilla Glass 5 to provide the necessary protection for your precious investment.

Hardware-wise, PH-1 will be having a Snapdragon 835 chipset paired with a blazingly fast Kryo octa-core processor, great graphics and 4GB RAM. This ensures that this smartphone will be running at breakneck speeds and will power through just about everything that you can throw at it, and still have some spare left in the tank.

We can find the PH-1 equipped with the dual 13MP primary camera that is loaded with features. Go on ahead to snap photos all the time with this amazing camera. Then there’s an 8MP secondary camera making it complete.

With 128GB of internal storage, you will have less worry about it being able to install all your favorite apps and games as well as to store your photos, songs and all. But with no expansion slot, sooner or later you will have to perform some housekeeping.

The latest Android Nougat 7.1 OS will be available for you to tap onto, and further unleash its potential to the next level.

A little bit worrying about the PH-1 would be on its battery, to be exact its 3040 mAh battery. If you are a particular heavy user, just standby a powerbank in any case.

We seem to have save the best for last about the PH-1. If you notice earlier, we mentioned about it being modular. What’s that all about anyway? Just think as it like a Snap-on accessory that can extend the functionality of the smartphone. One of it is a 360° camera which has been the latest craze worldwide. Show everyone your surroundings with this add-on that can be easily fixed to the smartphone.

That’s just one example, pretty sure there will be more. Quite similar to Moto Mods by Motorola, where you can turn the Moto Z smartphone into a projection, boombox and a battery powerhouse among other things.

Conclusion:

Essential PH-1 will be awesome based on paper alone. With Android’s OS creator at the helm, the software expert will now have a hardware prowess at his fingertips. Great 5.7-inch 2K screen that is edgeless, great looks, great protection, the best hardware, great dual 13MP primary camera, great 128GB storage and the latest Android Nougat 7.1 OS makes for only the best mixture into the smartphone.

Essential PH-1 is expected to be available in Q3 2017 although the price has yet to be confirmed yet. It is said to be available in Stellar Gray, Ocean Depths, Black Moon and Pure White colour.
