Instead of a military grade kind of protection, it will now be having the IP67 certification which makes it water-resistant and able to carry with you on your water adventure. There will also be Gorilla Glass 4 and fingerprint sensor for good use.

In terms of hardware, the Q8 will be equipped with exactly the same specs – Snapdragon 820 chipset, fast Kryo quad-core processor, great graphics and a cool 4GB RAM. For a screen that is small, there is a lot of firepower under its belly. Even though it is last year’s specs, it is still relevant up until today.

If there’s one thing that truly stands out for the Q8, it will be on its dual 13MP+8MP primary camera setup. You will not get to take some of the best photos with it, and get to experiment with the bokeh effect. Then there’s the 5MP selfie camera that makes the package complete.

Storage-wise, 32GB of internal storage should be just nice for you to install all your favorite apps and games as you wish. But as you take more and more photos in the highest resolution possible, it will get full in no time at all. That’s where you can add up to a maximum of 256GB of storage via the expansion slot.

As for the battery, a 3000 mAh battery on the Q8 should be more than enough to last it for a full day.

Conclusion:

LG Q8 is a strange addition to last year’s best-selling flagship V20. But it surely is a wonderful addition nevertheless with its 5.2-inch Quad HD IPS screen, great protection and water-resistant feature, great hardware and amazing dual primary camera makes for a really great smartphone overall.

LG Q8 is expected to be released in August 2017 although there’s no mention of the price yet.
