Lenovo has done a pretty good job of building up the K8 Note launch date set on August 9th. In what will be an Amazon exclusive offer, all eyes are set for this date.

But did you know that Lenovo released 3 Note’s last year? K4, K5 and K6 were all out and about in 2016, which took everyone by surprise. Three different models in a year? Now that’s something distinctive that no other manufacturer is doing.

Let’s begin by scrutinizing the K6 Note. Take note that there will be no K7 Note, instead it goes straight to K8 Note:

  • 5.5-inch Full HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 1920 pixels or ~401 ppi pixel density
  • Metal body
  • Fingerprint sensor
  • Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 chipset, Octa-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 processor, Adreno 505 graphics and 3GB/4GB RAM
  • 16MP primary camera with phase detection autofocus and dual-LED (dual tone) flash
  • 8MP secondary camera
  • 32GB internal storage + microSD expansion slot up to maximum 256GB
  • Android Marshmallow 6.0
  • Dolby Atmos sound
  • Non-removable Li-Ion 4000 mAh battery
  • Dual sim and 4G LTE
  • December 2016 release date
  • ~$209 USD price tag

For those who are on a budget, K6 Note can provide a lot of goodies for a great value. Large 5.5-inch Full HD IPS screen, metal body, decent hardware, 16MP-8MP camera setup, Dolby Atmos sound system, large 4000 mAh battery – all for just $209 USD.

With that in mind, let’s take a closer look at the K8 Note as we prepare ourselves for the launch event:

  • 5.5-inch Full HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 1920 pixels or ~401 ppi pixel density
  • Fingerprint sensor
  • Mediatek MT6797 Helio X20 chipset, Deca-core 2.1 GHz processor, Mali-T880 MP4 graphics and 4GB RAM
  • 16MP primary camera with phase detection autofocus and dual-LED (dual tone) flash
  • 12MP secondary camera
  • 64GB internal storage + microSD expansion slot up to maximum 256GB
  • Android Nougat 7.1
  • Dolby Atmos sound
  • Dual sim and 4G LTE
  • August 9th, 2017 launch date

Despite the K8 Note still having some uncertainties such as whether it will have a metal body or its battery capacity – the Killer Note will be killing it in the mid-range segment.

Expected to be sporting the same 5.5-inch Full HD IPS screen that comes with a fingerprint sensor, it is on the hardware side of things that will highlight its prowess.

With the Helio X20 chipset paired with a 10-core processor, great graphics and 4GB RAM – you can expect it to be one killer of a beast that is set to be uncaged to unlock its full potential. There’s simply no stopping it from running most apps and games that defy its mid-range status.

Another upgrade that you can find on the K8 Note is on its camera. Maybe not so much on its 16MP primary camera, but on its 12MP selfie camera.

Go on ahead to capture great selfies with it.

Now with 64GB of internal storage, it is as good as it can get over here; especially with the option to further expand up to a maximum of 256GB.

For audio lovers, you get to enjoy Dolby Atmos sound system which lets you listen to crystal clear sound with it.

Last but not least, the latest Android Nougat 7.1 operating system will be available. This brings all the latest features and enhancements to the K8 Note for you to tap into.

Conclusion:

Lenovo K8 Note might come a bit too late, especially with three releases last year – but that won’t stop people from wanting it. From the look of things, this Killer Note is set to be a great value for money smartphone for the mid-range segment of the market.

Lenovo K8 Note is expected to be launched on August 9th which we would then know of its expected release date and pricing. It is said to be available in Silver, Gold and Dark Grey.
