Let’s not forget its predecessor was just released last month that goes by the name Nova 2i:

  • Fullview Display
  • Metal body
  • Fingerprint sensor
  • HiSilicon Kirin 659 chipset, Octa-core (4x2.36 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4x1.7 GHz Cortex-A53) processor, Mali-T830 MP2 graphics and 4GB RAM
  • Dual 16MP+2MP primary camera
  • Dual 13MP+2MP selfie camera
  • 64GB internal storage + microSD expansion slot up to 128GB maximum

  • Emotion UI 5.1 based on Android Nougat 7.0 operating system
  • Dual-sim and 4G LTE
  • October 2017 release date

Nova 2i practically started this whole huge 5.9-inch IPS screen with Fullview display. It also has great look and feel, good mid-range performance, an amazing four cameras, large storage and large battery to boot. And the price is simply irresistible for the specs that it dishes out.

With that in mind, here’s what we have learned so far about the Nova 3:

  • 5.93-inch Full HD LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 2160 pixels, 18:9 ratio or ~407 ppi density
  • Fullview Display
  • Metal body
  • Fingerprint sensor
  • HiSilicon Kirin 670 chipset and 4GB RAM
  • Dual 20MP + 16MP primary camera with phase detection autofocus and LED flash
  • Dual 20MP + 2MP secondary camera
  • 64GB/128GB internal storage + microSD expansion slot up to 256GB maximum
  • Non-removable Li-Po 3340 mAh battery
  • Android Nougat 7.1
  • Dual-sim and 4G LTE
  • December 2017 expected release date
  • 350 Euro or ~$409 USD estimated price tag

Although still preliminary, things are looking up for Nova 3 indeed.

The screen size might increase a little bit, although with a metal body you will have a great time holding it. The Fullview display and fingerprint sensor is expected to be there, continuing the tradition nicely.

Regarding performance, we might be seeing a little upgrade in the form of a better chipset, faster processor, better graphics and all. Things have yet to be confirmed at this stage.

The best part about the Nova 3 will be on its camera aspect – to be exact four cameras. The dual 20MP+16MP primary camera is set to bring about significant joy and happiness, as you set to benefit from the bokeh effect very nicely. Meanwhile its dual 20MP+2MP selfie camera ensures that all your selfies will look great, whatever the setting.

Storage-wise, there is now an option to go up to 128GB of space or stick with just 64GB. Either way, you can easily add up to a maximum of 256GB via the microSD expansion slot.

With 3340 mAh battery supplying the necessary juice to the Nova 3, there’s no problem for it to be able to last for a full day of use.

Conclusion:

Nova 3 is set to make the Nova lineup better overall with its slightly larger screen, better hardware, better dual primary camera, better selfie camera and the option of a large 128GB internal storage.

Huawei Nova 3 is said to be released in December, just in time for the holidays. It is rumoured to be priced at 350 Euro or ~$409 USD. It will be available in various colours. Stay tuned for more updates, as more specs will be confirmed closer to its release date.
