Everything about this phablet is amazing, and it is a great step-up for users of previous versions to upgrade. Even if you haven't owned any previous Samsung devices, then you should seriously consider this amazing smartphone.

That was earlier this year, and one year is a long time in the smartphone industry. With that in mind, here’s what we know of the Galaxy S9 for now:

  • 5.8-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 1440 x 2960 pixels or 18.5:9 ratio or ~568 ppi density

Starting with the obvious, the Galaxy S9 is set to feature a similar 5.8-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED screen with Infinity display. This means that the size is almost the same, but more stuff will be visible on the screen. On top of that, there’s going to be an exquisite metal body and front and back glass for better handling and protection.

Moving on to the performance, expect the Galaxy S9 to be even more powerful and much faster compared to its predecessor. Not only will it score better in benchmark scores, but in real-life situation as well. It should be able to blaze through everything that you put this flagship to the test.

In terms of camera, it might be sporting a similar 12MP-8MP camera setup but the quality will be a notch or two higher.

Although there’s no confirmation on the battery size, expect it to last longer and having the ease of wireless charging and fast battery charging to be very helpful indeed.

Lastly, the latest Android Oreo 8.0 will be available right from the start so you can tap on its amazing prowess to good use.

Conclusion:

One year on, the Samsung Galaxy S9 is expected to rewrite the history books once again. With so much to look forward to, namely the Infinity display, Always-on display, exquisite metal body, much faster performance and the latest Android Oreo operating system is like a dream comes true.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 is set to be released in April 2018 although there’s no word yet on the pricing. Expect it to have an almost similar price in the range of $750-$800 USD. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the release date.
