image

Huawei P20 Pro will showcase how far the camera smartphone has developed all these years, and it will be awesome!

Having just recently launched a few days ago, the P20 Pro will have the P20 and P20 Lite as its brothers. Let’s first begin by checking out the P20:

  • 5.84-inch Full HD LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 2280 pixels or ~432 ppi density
  • Fullview display
  • Metal body
  • Fingerprint sensor
  • HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset, Octa-core (4x2.4 GHz Cortex-A73 & 4x1.8 GHz Cortex-A53) processor, Mali-G72 MP12 graphics and 4GB RAM
  • Dual 12MP (f/1.7 aperture, OIS) + 20MP primary camera (f/1.7 aperture), Leica optics, 2x lossless zoom, phase detection and laser autofocus; and dual-LED dual-tone flash
  • 24MP secondary camera with autofocus, f/2.0 and 1080p
  • 128GB internal storage with no microSD expansion slot
  • Non-removable Li-Po 3400 mAh battery with Fast battery charging
  • Android Oreo 8.0
  • Expected April 2018 release date

One thing for sure, the P20 bears nothing of the previous P10’s small-sized body. With a huge 5.84-inch Full HD LTPS IPS screen to its name, it will feature the best hardware and one of the best camera setups to ensure another year at the top for the Chinese manufacturer.

With everyone moving on to the path of a large-sized smartphone, let’s now turn our attention to the P20 Pro as per below specs:

  • 6.1-inch Full HD AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 2244 pixels, 18.7:9 ratio or ~408 ppi density
  • Fullview display
  • Metal body
  • Fingerprint sensor
  • IP67 certification – dust and water resistant up to 1 meter for 30 minutes
  • Hisilicon Kirin 970 chipset, Octa-core (4x2.4 GHz Cortex-A73 & 4x1.8 GHz Cortex-A53) processor, Mali-G72 MP12 graphics and 6GB RAM
  • Triple 40MP (f/1.8, 1/1.7", OIS) + 20MP (f/1.6) + 8MP (f/2.4) Camera, Leica optics, 3x optical zoom, phase detection and laser autofocus and dual-LED dual-tone flash
  • 24MP secondary camera with autofocus and f/2.0 aperture
  • 128GB internal storage with no microSD expansion slot
  • Non-removable Li-Po 4000 mAh battery with Fast battery charging (58% in 30 minutes)
  • Android Oreo 8.1
  • Expected April 2018 release date

P20 Pro brings the next level of camera smartphone experience with Leica technology that brings together aesthetic vision with an advanced camera system that shines a light on intelligent photography.

Inspired by the kinetics of light and precision-engineered to capture detailed, rich, atmospheric images any time of day or night. The 40MP RGB camera that makes up a part of the triple camera delivers unparalleled sharpness, colour accuracy, focus and contrast for every single shot you take.

Witness the power of next-generation screen technology with FullView Display that delivers a superior colour gamut for our best screen to date. The edgeless fingerprint sensor with smart navigation instead of the virtual bar can offer an additional informative area.

Under the hood of the P20 Pro will also be excellent, in the form of the high-end Kirin 970 chipset, a blazingly fast octa-core processor, great graphics with a whopping 6GB RAM. This powerful processor can fully support the AI-driven camera technology.

With everything else remaining the same, the P20 Pro will be equipped with a larger 4000 mAh battery that should have no problem to power up the smartphone for a day or two. Even when the time comes to plug it in, the fast charging feature can bring it up to 58% in just 30 minutes.

Conclusion:

Huawei P20 Pro steps up the game with larger screen size and the AMOLED screen technology. It will also be blessed with a bigger 6GB RAM. But the best part of all will then be on its Triple Camera, 40MP RGB + 20MP Monochrome + 8MP Telephoto. To round it all off, it will also feature a larger 4000 mAh battery. With no price revealed yet for the P20 and P20 Pro, if the price difference isn’t that huge – then the P20 Pro will be an absolute winner.

Huawei P20 Pro is expected to be released in April 2018 although there’s no confirmation on the price. It will be available in Twilight, Black, Midnight Blue and Pink Gold colours.
