There will be some who will be disappointed that despite the fact that it has been almost a year, the Xperia XZ2 doesn’t really improve that much right? Well, how do you improve on something that is really great, and still going on strong?

With the Xperia XZ2, you will be getting a 5.7-inch Full HD IPS screen with Fullview display.

Not only that, the amount of protection found on the smartphone is unbelievable. With a metal body with front and back glass coated with Gorilla Glass 5, then there’s also the IP68 certification that comes as a standard for Xperia XZ series of smartphones. In short, it will take a huge amount of beating just to get a dent of some kind.

The design itself packs cutting edge technology comfortably into your hand. The unique 3D glass look is inspired by the movement of light and the smooth surface creates a natural flow with a beautiful, seamless finish.

With Sony’s Dynamic Vibration System, a Full HD+ HDR display and Sony's BRAVIA® TV technology, all your movies and videos become a new, uniquely stimulating experience. Plus, with powerful stereo speakers, you get fully immersive audio.

Under the hood of the Xperia XZ2 is nothing but the best. With the Snapdragon 845 chipset, blazingly fast Kryo octa-core processor, amazing Adreno 630 graphics and either 4GB or 6GB RAM; makes for a speed demon.

Equipped with the 19MP primary camera, here’s to the advanced Motion Eye™ camera with a memory-stacked image sensor that produces incredibly lifelike photos and videos. The super slow motion feature lets you capture what the eye can’t see and record in Full HD at 960fps.

Storage-wise, a decent 64GB of internal storage won’t be enough once you go full blast with the pictures and videos. Thankfully there’s the expansion slot that can take in up to a whopping 400GB of additional space.

In terms of battery, the 3180 mAh battery should be more than capable of supplying enough juice to the flagship for a full day of use.

Last but not least, the latest Android Oreo 8.0 will be available right out of the box so you get the best of hardware and software right from the word go.

Conclusion:

Sony Xperia XZ2 gives a breath of fresh air into the series, although there’s nothing really groundbreaking about it. Large 5.7-inch Full HD IPS screen with amazing look and feel, amazing protection, amazing high-end performance, amazing 19MP primary camera and the latest operating system makes for a tantalizing offer.

Sony Xperia XZ2 is expected to be released on April 6th for ~$800 USD price tag. Plenty of colors to choose from - Liquid Black, Liquid Silver, Deep Green and Ash Pink.
