It is already hard to top off a very powerful smartphone in the form of the Xperia XZ2, but the Xperia XZ2 Premium manages just that.

The most obvious part is on its screen – to be exact the 5.8-inch IPS screen with 4K display technology. The 760 ppi is simply amazing for a smartphone this big. It will be an entertainment powerhouse with the combination of a 4K HDR display based on Sony’s BRAVIA® TV technology, a pioneering Dynamic Vibration System and powerful stereo speakers create a full sensory experience. Then there’s the usual IP68 certification that makes it dust and water resistant as well as the Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Regarding hardware,  you will be getting the highest-end Snapdragon 845 chipset paired with the fastest Kryo octa-core processor, amazing Adreno 630 graphics and a whopping 6GB RAM.

Moving on to the camera, here’s where the Xperia XZ2 Premium makes quite an improvement. It will now come with a dual 19MP-12MP primary camera, and we all know how good Sony is in this department. The revolutionary Motion Eye™ Dual camera can capture more than the naked eye can see. Built with technology from Sony’s exclusive range of cameras. Taking photos in extreme low-light conditions is made possible with an incredible ISO 51200 sensitivity. Even the 13MP selfie camera is a huge jump from its previous 5MP camera.

With 64GB of internal storage, there’s plenty of it available. More of it to come as well, as you can easily add up to a maximum of 400GB via the microSD expansion slot.

The latest Android Oreo 8.0 will be there as well, to fully optimise the powerful hardware that it possesses.

Finally, the 3450 mAh battery should do just fine in supplying the necessary juice for the Xperia XZ2 Premium to last for a full day of charge. Smart Stamina works ahead of time to keep you powered up for longer, while Qnovo Adaptive Charging and Battery Care give your battery a longer lifespan.

Conclusion:

Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a very tall order, and it did just that. Amazing 5.8-inch 4K IPS display, top-of-the-line hardware, amazing dual 19MP+13MP primary camera, great 13MP selfie camera and the latest Android Oreo 8.0 operating system. With no price revealed yet, expect to pay a premium to own it.

Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is expected to be released in Q3 2018 although there’s no confirmation on the price yet. You can choose either Chrome Black or Chrome Silver colour.
