Motorola Moto Z3 is actually more than that, as it comes with mid-range specs, amazing dual 12MP-12MP primary camera and a battery that lasts for a full day.

Times are changing for Motorola, in fact they had just released Moto Z3 Play a few months back with the below specs:

  • 6.01-inch Full HD Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 2160 pixels, 18:9 ratio (~402 ppi density)

  • Splash and dust resistant
  • Fingerprint sensor
  • Qualcomm SDM636 Snapdragon 636 chipset, Octa-core 1.8 GHz Kryo 260 processor, Adreno 509 graphics and 4GB RAM
  • Dual 12MP (f/1.7 aperture, 1.4µm, dual pixel PDAF) + 5MP primary camera (no AF, depth sensor) and dual-LED dual-tone flash

The Moto Z3 Play is a large smartphone with a super-slim body, a great dual 12MP+5MP primary camera, and a good mid-range hardware thrown into the mix. But the price is quite high, which makes it a tough sell.

Has Motorola managed to overcome a lot of its previous shortcomings? Coming so close to the Z3 Play’s release here’s to the Moto Z3 then:

We should be pitying those who had earlier bought the Moto Z3 Play. That’s because, in just two months, the Moto Z3 comes out with a better and more refined version – plus it's carrying a cheaper price tag as well.

The 6.01-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD and Fullview display is back, so does its splash and dust resistant feature as well.

But there’s no denying that the Moto Z3 now comes with a much faster Snapdragon 835 chipset, blazingly fast Kryo octa-core processor, great graphics and an option for 6GB RAM. Now that surely belongs in the high-end segment of the market.

Not content with that, the Moto Z3 also upgrades itself on the camera aspect. More specifically on its dual 12MP-12MP primary camera that is fully loaded with all the bells and whistles that you will surely appreciate. Then comes the 8MP selfie camera that makes the package complete.

Storage-wise, 64GB is now the minimum; and you can now choose to go for the 128GB internal storage option. If that’s not enough, you can add a whopping 512GB of extra space.

Regarding software, the Moto Z3 is now running on Android Oreo 8.1. The great news is that it will get the update to the latest Android Pie 9.0 once it is available.

Finally, the Moto Mods is a pleasant add-on to the Moto Z3. We know how it lets you turn your smartphone into a movie projector, boombox, battery powerhouse, and more, in just a snap. Just hook it up, and see it transform into something more than just a typical smartphone. But a mod that lets the smartphone runs on the blazingly fast 5G network? Now that’s something.

Conclusion:

Motorola Moto Z3 is a significant upgrade that puts it in with the big boys but on a budget. Large 6.01-inch Full HD Super AMOLED screen with Fullview display technology, amazing look and feel, great dual 12MP+12MP primary camera setup, the planned update to the upcoming Android Pie 9.0 and a Mod that lets it connect to the 5G network in the future. All this and more, with an even cheaper price tag.

Motorola Moto Z3 had just been released for USD 480 on Verizon and is available in Ceramic Black colour.
