There’s a lot of advantages with iPhone XS if the price is not considered. For starters, you may find that the 5.8-inch screen seems small, but it is the right size for everyone. Plus, the higher resolution and Super Retina display ensures you get crystal images every time.

Another huge advantage is on its IP68-rating, that allows you to bring it along on any water adventure.

In terms of performance, there’s nothing but the best with the revolutionary A12 Bionic chipset. It is the smartest, most powerful chip in a smartphone with the next-generation Neural Engine. All next-gen features are here for you: real-life augmented reality experience, incredible portraits with Depth Control, and speed and fluidity in everything that you do.

Camera-wise, there’s the dual 12MP+12MP primary camera setup on the iPhone XS that is more than meets the eye. With the Smart HDR function, it brings new secondary frames and a faster sensor that can bring more highlight and shadow detail to your photos. With larger and deeper pixels on-hand, the new sensor creates better image fidelity, greater colour accuracy and reduced noise in low-light shots. Then there’s the enhanced bokeh effect wherein Portrait mode, photos look even more professional thanks to a sophisticated background blur. Finally, the all-new Depth Control lets you adjust the depth of field in portraits after you shoot.

Moving on to the storage side of things, there’s now an option to go for the largest 512GB storage capacity, plus the usual 256GB and 64GB.

Great hardware comes with great software with the latest iOS 12. It is designed to make everything faster, more responsive and more delightful. Mundane tasks such as launching the Camera and typing with the keyboard, is now faster than ever.

Conclusion:

Apple iPhone XS is a step up in the right direction for the giant US company. But only if you can afford its steep price tag though.

Apple iPhone XS is currently available for $999 USD for the 64GB storage variant, $1,149 USD for the 256GB storage and $1,349 USD for the 512GB storage. You get to choose from Space Gray, Silver or Gold colours.
