Even back then, the Lenovo S5 is one of those budget-friendly mid-ranger smartphones that offers a lot of good stuff.

8 months does seem like a very long time, and it is high time that a refresher comes along. Here’s to the S5 Pro GT which is equipped with the below:

  • 6.2-inch Full HD LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 2246 pixels, 18.7:9 ratio or ~402 ppi density
  • Fullview display

As you can see from the above, the S5 Pro GT has improved by leaps and bounds from the previous S5. Starting with a bigger 6.2-inch Full HD LTPS IPS screen, everything is a bit larger it seems.

Under the hood of the S5 Pro GT is the current king of mid-range that is the Snapdragon 660, paired with a very fast Kryo octa-core processor, good graphics and either 4GB or 6GB RAM. You can be assured of a speedy performance on almost all of the apps and games that are out there.

Perhaps the highlight of the show is on its four-camera setup, a dual 12MP+20MP primary camera and dual 20MP-8MP secondary camera combination. The result? Stunning photos all the time with the S5 Pro GT. Definitely great for camera and selfie lovers, this is something to look forward to.

Once you are done clicking away at the high-res photos, then it is time to be concerned about the storage space. Thankfully there’s an option of either 64GB or 128GB internal storage that you can choose (depending on your budget). Even then, you can easily pop in a 256GB microSD card via the expansion slot to enjoy more space.

An upgraded 3500 mAh battery is then available on the S5 Pro GT. This means that the smartphone can last for a good day’s of charge.

Lenovo S5 Pro GT price is more like a mid-range smartphone, but once we delve deeper into it; you will be surprised. Large 6.2-inch LTPS IPS screen, good mid-range performance, amazing four cameras and a decent battery all rolled into one.

Lenovo S5 Pro GT had just been released for 1,198 Chinese Yuan or ~179 USD for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, 1,298 Chinese Yuan or ~190 USD for the 6GB + 64GB storage variant and 1,498 Chinese Yuan or ~220 USD for the 6GB + 64GB storage variant. Three colours for you to choose from, namely Black, Gold and Blue.
