OnePlus 7: is it an upscale OnePlus 6T or more?

The upcoming release of OnePlus 7 is hugely awaited, but is it just an upscale version of the OnePlus 6T? Or does it offer more than meets the eye?

So let’s begin by taking a closer look at the OnePlus 6T which was released towards the end of last year:

OnePlus 6T was indeed a great flagship with its large 6.41-inch screen size, brand-new fingerprint sensor found under the display, high-end hardware, amazing dual 16MP+20MP primary camera, the latest Oxygen and Android 9.0 operating system – plus an affordable price tag makes for a really amazing combination.

Where does that leaves us with the OnePlus 7 then?

The first impression that you get, is yes – the OnePlus 7 does have some resemblance with the OnePlus 6T. But then again, it will surely blow almost everyone out of the water with these kind of specs. For starters, yes it will still be using the similar 6.41-inch Full HD+ Optic AMOLED screen.

Yes, the Gorilla Glass protection will still be there, alongside the metal body and fingerprint sensor under the dosplay.

One thing for sure, the OnePlus 7 will be slightly faster thanks to the latest Snapdragon 855 chipset and Adreno 640 graphics. There won’t be anything that will slow down this beast of a smartphone.

In terms of camera, the 48MP+5MP primary camera will be the highlight of the show. You will be able to capture lots of amazing shots with it. Even then, the 16MP selfie camera is also amazing as well.

Talking about taking photos, and lots of it – then there’s the issue of storage. Thankfully, the OnePlus 7 have lots of it going around. With either the 128GB or 256GB variant to choose from, it will be quite some time before you look for additional space. Even though there’s no expansion slot, feel free to use cloud storage for all your needs.

For audio lovers, the Dolby Atmos sound system will definitely mesmerize you. Please your ears as you play your favorite songs and videos and be transported to a whole new world.

Finally, the 3700 mAh battery should have no problem to supply enough juice to the OnePlus 7 for a whole day.

Conclusion:

OnePlus 7 is set to be one of the flagships for the year 2019, that’s for sure. With its large 6.41-inch Full HD+ resolution with Optic AMOLED technology, great look and feel to it, highest-end hardware, the latest software, great sound system and a nice battery – all these for an affordable price tag.

OnePlus 7 is said to be released in June 2019 for approximately 559 Euro or ~625 USD price tag for the 6GB RAM model. There will be two colours available, namely Mirror Gray and Red.
